Don't have a NEMA 6-50 or 14-50 outlet in your garage? Or a electrician on speed dial? No worries! Aloha Charge has a full team of experienced and certified EV charging installation specialists that can quickly provide you with an installation estimate and get your home charger up and running so that you can start saving on "fueling" your car as soon as possible.

Flex really shines when you enable its many smart features.

Make charging a breeze with reminders and remote start.

It’s every EV owner’s worst nightmare: getting to the garage in the morning only to find out you forgot to plug in last night. D’oh! But once you activate Flex, you never have to remember to charge again. Home Flex will remind you to plug in your car and let you start charging remotely. So if you’re plugged in, you can easily start a charge from the comfort of your couch, without interrupting your Netflix show.

Fuel up for less at home.

People sometimes worry that EV charging will be expensive. While electricity is generally much cheaper than gas, charging costs can add up if you charge at peak times that have higher rates under your local utility plan. ChargePoint Home Flex overcomes that issue and helps you save even more by letting you schedule your EV charging at the right time of day (or, most likely, night).

Because Flex is connected, you don’t even have to tell it when to charge. Flex figures out the best time and asks you to confirm. You could save $250-300 a year by scheduling charging, depending on your rate plan. Once your charging is scheduled, just plug in when you get home, and Flex will start charging when rates are cheapest. You can rely on Flex to fully charge your EV overnight, and track all of your charging activity and savings in the app.

Plus, it’s the easiest way to find available stations, start charging and get updates when your EV is fully charged.

  • Find Available Stations - See which stations are available to charge your EV

  • Start Charging - Just hold your phone by the card reader on the station

  • Get Notified - Receive notifications when your car is done charging, or when a station opens up

  • See Station Pictures - Easily find stations with photos submitted by other drivers

  • Read Driver Tips - Get helpful advice from other drivers about charging at a particular station

  • Connect ChargePoint Home - Schedule charging, set reminders, get notifications and track usage

  • Plays Well with Others - Works with Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Apple Watch and Wear OS by Google

The ChargePoint Home Flex is easy for any electrician to install indoors or out. Plug-in installation with NEMA 6-50 or 14-50 outlet requires circuits rated 40A or 50A. For other circuit ratings, the plug is easily removed for hardwired installation. Set the charging amperage that's right for you and your home, helping to avoid electrical upgrades.

FAQs

Your EV charging questions answered!

  • Most EVs come with a “Level 1” charger that uses a standard 110-volt outlet. Level 1 adds 4 to 5 miles of electric driving Range Per Hour (RPH). While it’s convenient to plug in at home, Level 1 charging is usually not fast enough to consistently meet your charging needs. Faster “Level 2” chargers use 240 volts of electricity and deliver as many as 37 miles of RPH, essentially working, 9X faster than Level 1 charging.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • We recommend the ChargePoint Home Flex. It’s fast and the most advanced home charger out there. Plus, it’s designed to work for all EV drivers.

  • The Flex can be installed at 16A to 50A, allowing you to pick the speed that works best with their home’s electrical supply – so you charge as fast as possible while also avoiding or minimizing electrical upgrades

Flex comes with a 23-foot charging cable and supports hardwired installation or can be easily plugged into a NEMA 6-50 or 14-50 plug

ChargePoint Home Flex is WiFi-enabled so it can be connected to the ChargePoint app, UL listed for electrical safety, ENERGY STAR certified for efficiency, and backed by a 3-year warranty and 24/7 support.

  • Having a WiFi connected charger allows your charger to connect to your smart phone and the ChargePoint app so you can:

Schedule charging when electricity is cheapest, set reminders and start charging remotely (Don’t worry: if your WiFi is ever disconnected, ChargePoint will still charge your car on the schedule you’ve se)

Find the best time to charge based on local utility rates

See how many miles have been added based on your car model

Track all your home and public charging info in one place

Find and access public charging stations

Start a charge with your voice using Amazon Alexa

  • You create a ChargePoint account to activate your ChargePoint Home. There are no recurring fees, and no credit card is needed. At home, you pay for the energy used through your electric bill. Adding a payment method to your ChargePoint account lets you charge at stations away from home (which sometimes charge a fee).

  • All ChargePoint home chargers use a standard SAE J1772™ connector that works with all EVs on the road. If you drive a Tesla, just use the J1772 adapter that comes with your car.

  • ChargePoint Home Flex comes with a 23-foot charging cable.

  • Yes, ChargePoint Home models have been tested in various weather conditions (rated NEMA 3R) and can be installed outdoors by hardwiring the station or plugging into a weatherproof NEMA receptacle.

  • Either option will work, and your electrician can help determine what's best for your home. We like NEMA 6-50 because it does not require an additional neutral wire, which may slightly reduce installation cost compared to NEMA 14-50. Outside of EV charging, NEMA 6-50 outlets are commonly used with welders and NEMA 14-50 outlets are commonly used with electric ovens or recreational vehicles.

  • ChargePoint Home stations are backed by a 3-year parts warranty.

  • ChargePoint Home stations are for residential use only. If installed at a location other than a single-family home or condo with personal electricity supply, the station's warranty will be voided.

  • ChargePoint Home stations are designed for single-family home use only. If your condo parking space at your condo is powered by your own electricity and not common area electricity, then ChargePoint Home may work. Otherwise, tell your property manager or HOA to call Aloha Charge to learn more about commercial charging solutions designed for multifamily living.
